Launch of the Grow a Row Program
Meet and greet follow gardeners, program coordinators and community members. Everyone is welcome, but please email or call if you are interested in attending so that we know how many people to expect. Presentations will be made starting at 6:30 PM. Refreshments provided.

Workshop – Planning Your Garden
1.5 hour workshop for beginning gardeners designed to teach the basics on planting, spacing, timing, succession and garden rotation.  Limit to 20 people, please register in advance.

Drop-in Seed Swap

Saturday, February 26 | Compost Education Centre, 1216 North Park Street, Straw Bale Building

12 noon – 2:00 PM

Get some free seeds and get started!

The Compost Education Centre will host a free seed swap for Grow a Row participants on the Saturday following the launch. Drop by between the hours of noon and 2:00 PM to pick up some free organic seeds to get your garden started. If you have a collection of seeds at home, you are encouraged to bring them along to share with other participants. Simply label them so others know what they are. You might want to bring a small paper bag to put your new seeds in, as well as a pen in case you need to label anything.
